Oh Suzani

Suzani is defined, by wikipedia, as a type of embroidered and decorative tribal textile made in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries. Suzani designs draw inspiration from colorful floral motifs, including leaves, vines and fruits, as well as sun and moon disks and occasionally birds and fish.
The word Suzani is from the Persian Suzan, meaning needle, and the art of making these textiles in Iran is called Suzankāri, meaning needleworkSuzani designs have been gaining in popularity and have adapted effortlessly from the traditional textiles to beautiful home decor and accessories.
Enjoy!
